Preschool Program

Tolland Green Learning Center begins with a Preschool Program for 3 year olds and a Pre-Kindergarten Program for 4 year olds. Each program incorporates a structured morning session form 9am to 12pm, which can be extended to a full day if needed. Both programs offer a developmentally appropriate classroom with 2 teachers and a small class size of 15 children. The CT Preschool Curriculum Framework and Benchmarks for Children in Preschool Programs are woven into our daily curriculum. Our hands on developmentally appropriate activities provide opportunities for our children to develop social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills. Our children obtain these skills through the design of their classroom, computer access, story time at Tolland Public Library and the use of our 2 spacious outdoor classrooms, the playground and the meadow. These skills are further developed by our children's participation in the Music Together Preschool Program and the Power of the Drum Program. It is Tolland Green Learning Centers' desire to encourage and excite children's curiosity in the hope of creating a lifelong desire to learn.
